Amed Dive Center, dive the USAT Liberty wreck, Bali

Our Amed scuba diving center is one of the youngest from the Dive Concepts Bali family. With our years of experience in Tulamben we wanted to settle in Amed to have access to a larger number of dive sites and enjoy all that Bali’s East Coast has to offer.

No matter if you want to dive in Amed or Tulamben we arrange your pick-up for free.

Dive Sites in Amed

Diverse possibilities when diving in Amed, starting from the shore or from a Jukung (traditional fishing boat), a beautiful concentration of nudibranchs, shrimps and other critters for Macro lovers, possibility of calm drift dive or even more demanding dives requiring a consistent experience. You will be able to appreciate from schools of fish (mackerel, fusiliers, trevally...) to the biggest (barracuda, reef sharks....).

At Dive Concepts Amed, we have departures for diving up to 4 times a day. The center also has a vehicle that will allow you to dive the sites of your choice. We have 15 dive sites to offer between Ghost Bay and Gili Selang Bay.

This village is reminiscent of authentic Bali, far from the southern crowd. Fishermen are leaving before sunrise and returning in the early morning with their fresh fishing gives off a family atmosphere of relaxation and well-being. The ocean landscape is purely stunning.

Dive Japanese Wreck & the Liberty Wreck

You have the soul of a wreck explorer?

The USAT Liberty is a cargo ship armed during the Second World War, it was in charge of merchandise transports. During its last mission on the 11th June 1942, the Liberty was hit by two torpedo launched by a Japanese submarine. The crew then tried to draw it to Singaraja. Taking in too much water, the ship got stranded on the Tulamben beach, until 1963 when the earthquake that induced the eruption of the Mount Agung made the wreck slip towards the ocean at only 40 meters from the beach.
