Four underwater pinnacles out of nowhere
Four Kings is another superb dive site in Raja Ampat, located to the East of the island of Pele in southern Misool. They are four underwater pinnacles in the middle of nowhere, covered in a blanket of soft coral. Here you can easily swim from one rock to the next one and admire the soft corals and marine life.
The base of these dramatic rock formations is about forty meters deep, and their summits peaks are between thirty and five meters below surface. The site itself has a similar shape to an underwater mountain range, since a long ridge connects the tops of a series of summits below the surface. Every surface is covered with incredible colored soft corals and sea fans, with plenty of fish swimming close to the reef.
The site can be dived in any direction, but ideally is to start at the shallowest point, which is on the site’s solitary pinnacle. This pinnacle is connected to the other 3 by a narrow gap of 15 meters. In between the last two pinnacles, there is a dramatic deep canyon.
