    Cannibal Rock is a world class dive site, is a small seamount located in the Southern part of Komodo National Park, in Loh Dasami Bay. The bay is in the South of the marine reserve between Rinca and Nusa Kode Island. Cannibal Rock is an easy dive, as the bay is sheltered, therefore it has a calm current. This site is famous for its rich and incredible biodiversity, plus a colorful invertebrate life.

    Many Pelagic & Reef Species

    Starting the dive, you will drift with the current to a big rock formation at 3 meters from the surface all the way to 30 meters. Everything is completely covered with corals and a great marine life. You will see large schools of fish around the rocks and all over, such as large trevallies and barracudas, king mackerels, blue triggerfish, bamboo sharks, an array of scorpion fishes, schools of red snappers and fusiliers, surgeon fishes. You may also find schools of bohar snappers.

    Abundant in Macro species

    Cannibal Rock is also considered as one of the macro highlights of Komodo National Park. Since it is fully covered in all types of corals and fans, this site is the perfect habitat for them. Some of the species you will be able to appreciate are very colored and rare nudibranchs, frogfish, leafy scorpion, pygmy seahorses, shrimps and many different species of invertebrates with vibrant colors. It is a great spot for divers who love macro photography and critters hunters.

    Cannibal Rock has it all, pelagic fishes, macro life, pristine and stunning corals, sponges, overhangs, walls, sloping reef or sandy bottoms. Rich soft corals are abundant and very colorful, as well as sea apples and other sea cucumber species. You will be surprised by the fire urchins hosting to Coleman shrimps and by the anemones and their inhabitants. Not only this, night dives are another high point of this diverse site, especially on the sandy slope of the northern side of the island starting at about 25 m depth.

    You will definitely like to come more than once to Cannibal Rock, one dive won’t be enough, with all the variety you won’t know where to look. This dive site is a must, reason why Cannibal Rock is considered the pearl of the South.

    The water in Cannibal Rock can be a bit cold, but this is not a problem at all, since it will not be a priority once you start diving in this wonderful site. You can dive Cannibal Rock all year long, the best time being from October to April.

    To enter Indonesia your passport must have:

    Not at all, beginners can do discover scuba diving during the cruise (let us know to arrange it)


    Open water certified divers or equivalent will have access to most of the dive sites, but to make the best of the cruise Advanced level and experience in drift dive is recommended. You can spend a few days with us in Bali before starting your cruise, by joining our Safari tour or to get your Advanced certification in one of our four dive centers, it will allow you to dive up to 30m depth, to join night dives and be more confident and comfortable while drift diving.

    For an even better training we recommend you to join the drift specialty in Nusa Lembongan.

    Indonesia spread over its more than 5000 km along the Equator which offers a tropical climate with only two season, dry & wet.

    Dry season is mainly from May to October Wet season from November to April.
    Keep in mind that Indonesia is the world’s largest archipelago, so you can visit year-round as wet season won’t start in the same time in different places.

    Landscapes are also pretty different due to Tropical rainforest climate and Tropical savannah climate.

    We do recommend you to bring your own gears if you already own it. If not it’s not a big deal, you can rent the full set onboard, some of our partners provide rental equipment for free, maximum you can expect another 60$ per day.
    As a reminder, every scuba diver should be equipped with: Wetsuite/BCD/Regulator set/Fins/Weight system/Dive computer/SMB/Torchlight/Compass.


    Nitrox tanks are available on most of the boats, please refer to the boat description.

    Included: Transportation between airport & boat (return)/ Accommodation/ Meals and snacks/ non alcoholic beverage/ 12L tanks and weight system for divers

    Not Included:
    Marine park and Port authority fees / International and domestic flights/ Traveling - Diving Insurance / alcoholic beverage & espresso/ massage/ 15L tanks and dive gears rental for scuba divers

    Most of the time €, Us$ are accepted onboard, but we do recommend you to bring enough cash in local currency IDR. Payement by card are available on some boats, please refer to the boat description.
    Most of electric outlets on board are European type.

    Tipping from 5 to 10% of the cruise amount are expected, it express your satisfaction level. Tips are also an important income part for crew members.
